Journalism schools should improve their standards for the people they admit and how those people are educated. Not everyone who works in the media is prurient, vicious and ignorant, but a lot of people who work in the media are those things.
It's as if they don't realize that they're destroying their own civil rights by invading my privacy and producing propaganda about me. They're just making it easier for governments everywhere to spy on and try to intimidate their own citizens.
One of the important purposes of a free press is to act as a check on the government, by informing people accurately about what's happening in the world so that people can make good decisions. The media is not supposed to abuse the rights of free speech and freedom of the press by perpetuating stereotypes, promoting crime and persecuting people.
