Questions about Deflate Gate

August 22, 2015

I haven't paid a lot of attention to the Deflate Gate story.  This morning, I finally have some questions about it.

That's a picture from today of part of a Huffington Post article.

That's the Web address of the article.

That's the Web address for the Yahoo search results for the search term "tom brady destroyed cell phone."

These are my questions:

-Judge Berman thought that a $50,000 equipment tampering fine would be appropriate?  So does that means that he thinks that Mr. Brady is guilty as charged?

-That's another picture of the Huffington Post article.  Was evidence "conspicuously absent" because Mr. Brady destroyed his cell phone rather than allow it to be searched for evidence?

-What does "merely for his refusal to cooperate during the investigation" mean?  Is he not guilty of more than refusing to cooperate; isn't he guilty of obstruction of justice?

-Deflate Gate is about an alleged attempt to sabotage an entire team, isn't it?  Isn't that as bad or worse than an individual athlete trying to be faster and stronger by using performance-enhancing drugs?
