If I have sometimes allowed some people to abuse me past the time when it was obvious that they were abusive, it wasn't because it's all right to abuse someone or because I was hoping to get something from them that it would have been bad for me to have or bad for them to give.
A good industry always wants to hire the most talented people. A bad industry hates everyone who refuses to submit to an oppressive status quo.
