I just got to the police station. I asked the officer at the front desk if I could sit in the lobby until 5:00 a.m. He said "It's all right for tonight, but we have a huge problem with people doing that, so don't make a habit of it."
I hope that the Pine Street Inn won't make a habit of barring me when a guest of the shelter threatens to beat me up.
