Have the police thought about this?

April 5, 2015

That is a picture from tonight of part of the March 23, 2015 statement about the rape at the University of Virginia that the Charlottesville Police Department published at its website.

Isn't it possible that the event that Jackie attended was an informal gathering that was either an afterparty for or concurrent party with the formal event at Delta Gamma?

It is not difficult to fake a time-stamped photograph.  You just set the digital camera's clock to the time and date that you want to purport that the picture was taken.  I can't believe that I didn't think of that when I first discussed that picture.

Isn't it possible that Phi Kappa Psi keeps cash at the fraternity house to pay for informal or impromptu parties?  Isn't it also possible that there are members of that fraternity who tend to have enough cash to make purchases for parties at any given time, or at many times which nobody from the fraternity ever reports to anyone?

With all of the attention about hazing that fraternities have gotten over the past couple of decades, do you think that fraternities who want to continue their traditions of abuse haven't thought of ways to get around reporting or creating records of all of their group gatherings?  They can't explain expenditures of thousands of dollars taken from the official, fraternity bank accounts by saying "That was for hazing the pledges," or "That was the night we tried to get first-year women drunk enough to rape," can they?
