It's important for me to document the times at which I publish things because it's important that the chronology of the things that I write about and the response of other people to the things that I publish is clear.
If I publish a page and then see that I have made spelling, grammar or factual mistakes, then I have to correct those. I used to publish a time for every correction, and some of my copyright notices were unreasonably convoluted because of it. Now I try to be accurate without being unreasonably fastidious, and, honestly, I was tired of writing about the conglomerate on the first day that I wrote about it, 5 1/2 years ago.
