This is a picture from today of part of the Boston Cares website:
I attended orientation at Boston Cares months ago, before I was precipitously forced to leave the Department of Mental Health respite bed that I had at the crisis unit at Quincy Mental Health Center. I had hoped that I would be able to start volunteering at least after I got a place to live, if not sooner, to have something to do and to try to create references. I have no work references because of the conglomerate's persecution of me.
What's it going to be like to volunteer for Boston Cares? Even if I can volunteer around the demands of the schedule of the Pine Street Inn, how will I be treated? How long would it take for them to decide that I'm the one with the problem?
