I'm not pitching to get paid by Saturday Night Live. I do think that it would be funny if they had a Marginalized News Hour.
I thought of that after seeing all the white people broadcasting at ESPN this morning. What if all the newscasters for every Marginalized News Hour were black or Hispanic or gay?
"White, straight people with money, and their supporters, won at everything again today!"
Every week, the audience wouldn't know which marginalized group would have the news hour until it happened.
The Working Mothers' News Hour:
"We'd love to tell you what happened in the world today, but we have to pick up our kids, make dinner, do everybody's laundry, clean our houses, jump on the home Nautilus and then fall asleep while reading about the cost/benefit for plastic surgery and worrying about getting fired for looking old and knowing enough to contradict our male counterparts at work!"
